Danielle Ufniak (Physiotherapist)

Danielle’s passion for physiotherapy began during her undergraduate program at the University of Waterloo, where she worked as a kinesiology assistant in a private clinic and fitness facility for three years. As a marathon runner, Ironman triathlete, and fitness competitor, Danielle has experienced both chronic and acute injuries and realized the benefits of physiotherapy rehabilitation firsthand.

Danielle is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto Masters of Physical Therapy program. She has taken courses to further her understanding and expertise with injury prevention, rehabilitation, and physical fitness maintenance including Neuroproprioceptive Taping (K-Tape), Soft Tissue Release (STR), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialization (CSCS), and Schwinn Cycling Instructor Certification. Her goal is to help people reach their full potential in sports and daily functional mobility through proactive and reactive injury management.

Danielle employs a holistic approach in assessing, treating and training her clients. She understands that no two people, nor two injuries are the same and all rehabilitation and training must be unique to that individual. Using continuous evaluation throughout the client's plan of care she is able to progress the client to their own goals and return to work and play in a timely manner. Danielle's toolbox of treatment approaches include individualized strengthening and stretching programs, evidence-based exercises, neuromuscular re-education, soft tissue work and manual therapy.

Through personal experience with numerous sports related injuries Ceazar realized that massage and sports therapy were going to be a big part of his life and he became a Registered Massage Therapist.  His own rehabilitation from injuries taught him the importance of proper muscle therapy in maintaining a physically active lifestyle.

The progression in health and quality of life that people gain through therapy is what keeps him motivated in his chosen field.  In his years of practice he has treated patients with varying conditions such as sports related injuries, headaches, postural dysfunctions and various types of chronic pain.  Having proudly served the Scarborough community for the past 6 years he plans to continue for as long as he is able to help others reach their full potential.
